"If the world could be saved by sacrificing just one person's life, I would be the guy who just waits for someone else to volunteer. All these people that I love have made me a coward. I don't have any outlandish feelings like when I was a kid and mimicked the gestures of the heroes I admired. But I want to be a hero for just one person, you alone. If you stumble and fall, I'll quietly hold out my hand to you. For the climax of a bad movie people's lives are easily tossed away, but that's wrong. What we want to see is a light filled with hope. This slightly smaller hand in mine suddenly dissolves the hesitation in my heart. In order to fully taste life's full course there are many spices available to everyone. Sometimes you might even find it bitter. And when I laugh and eat the final dessert I want to be by your side. Time's passing is so harsh, but with it I've grown up fully. I'm not sad, it's not bittersweet. It's just that the things I've experienced again and again and the things I will experience again and again make me happy, they're so precious. I want to always be a hero for just one person, you alone. There's nothing at all mysterious about it and it's far from being a secret now. But I want to be a hero for just one person, you alone.
